・When boarding the Akan Airport Liner and getting off at “Tancho no Sato” before heading to Akanko Onsen, please purchase a ticket for the “Kushiro Airport – Akanko Onsen” route. You can transfer to the subsequent 30 Akan Line service without paying an additional fare.
・If you are traveling only for part of the route, please take 30 Akan Line.
・Services marked with ※ operate only from July 1 to October 31.
・Please note that the 5:15 p.m. departure of 30 Akan Line from Kushiro Station will be cancelled during the New Year holidays (Dec. 31 – Jan. 3).
・Akan Airport Liner may delay its departure by up to 20 minutes if flights are late, (For delays of 30 minutes or longer, please board the following bus.)
・Please note that buses may be delayed due to traffic conditions. Thank you for your understanding.

You can pay in cash when getting off the bus. For 30 Akan Line, when your stop is announced, check the fare table at the front of the bus and put the cash into the fare box next to the driver. Only coins and 1,000-yen bills can be exchanged. For Akan Airport Liner, please hand the fare to the crew when getting off the bus.

How to Board and Get Off the Bus
■ Vehicle Used on 30 Akan Line
30 Akan Line is a regular local bus service used by residents as part of their daily transportation. – The buses are designed in the style of regular local buses. At the front of the bus, a headmark is displayed showing the route number “30.” (Some buses may operate without a headmark.) Suitcases and other luggage must be brought inside the bus. As the number of seats is limited, you may have to stand during the ride if all seats are occupied.
■ Vehicle Used on Akan Airport Liner
Akan Airport Liner generally operates with orange buses, though the same vehicle type is used on other routes as well. The route name is displayed at the lower right of the front windshield. If you are unsure whether it is the bus you should take, please wait at the bus stop and ask the crew.
■ How to Board
1: Purchase a bus ticket
Purchase your bus ticket at a ticket machine (available only at Kushiro Airport and Kushiro Station Bus Terminal) or online. Tickets for the Akan Airport Liner can be purchased online.
2: Go to the bus stop
Arrive at the bus stop around 5 minutes before departure. Note that traffic may cause delays.
3: Board the bus
Board the bus from the front. Akan Airport Liner provides a designated compartment for suitcases and other baggage. You need to bring your luggage inside the bus when boarding 30 Akan Line.
4: Take a seat
Both 30 Akan Line and Akan Airport Liner operate with open seating. Please take any seat you like.
■ Vehicle Used on 30 Akan Line
Seat
30 Akan Line is operated with standard local bus vehicles. As the number of seats is limited, you may have to stand during the ride if all seats are occupied.
Boarding Ticket
On 30 Akan Line, a numbered boarding ticket will be issued when you get on the bus. Please make sure to take it before boarding. When getting off, put the ticket into the fare box together with your fare.
Hand Straps and Handrails
If you ride standing, please use the straps or rails inside the bus. Since the bus may stop suddenly, make sure to grip them securely.
Stop Button
When the announcement for your bus stop is made, please press the stop button. These buttons are located on the side panels and handrails inside the bus.
■ Vehicle Used on Akan Airport Liner
Seat
The seats on Akan Airport Liner are arranged in a 1×1×1 configuration. Free Wi-Fi is available. *In case of a large number of reservations, a bus with 4-row seating will be used.。
Reclining Seat
Beside your seat, you’ll find a lever to change the recline angle. Please be mindful of the passenger behind you and set it to the angle you prefer.
Overhead Rack
Overhead storage racks are provided for your belongings. Please make sure to place your items securely inside so they do not fall while the bus is moving.。
Stop Button
When the announcement for your bus stop is made, please press the stop button. These buttons are located near the overhead air vent.
■ How to Get Off
1: Check your bus stop in advance
Please refer to this website or the “User Guide” available in the seat pocket on the bus (Akan Airport Liner only), and check your bus stop in advance.
2: Press the stop button
Press the overhead stop button when your stop is announced or when the bus is near. Please remain seated until the bus has come to a complete stop.
3: Make your payment
Pay cash when exiting the vehicle. Please insert tickets issued by the ticket machine into the fare box. For web-purchased QR tickets, please present the QR code to the conductor.
4: Get off the bus
Once you have paid the fare, simply get off the bus. If you place your luggage in the storage compartment when boarding Akan Airport Liner, please inform the crew to receive it.
